Callanish Standing Stones and Venus Notebook

I love photographing the standing stones and Venus. This night I'd gone up to Callanish to see if I could capture the Zodiacal light but I timed it wrong and just missed it I think. It was a beautiful night out though and just standing amongst the ancient stones thinking about how very small us humans are in the big scale of the universe is always, to me, surprisingly very reassuring and humbling. Whatever these stones were put here for (and there are many theories) to be able to appreciate them like this always reminds me of how very small but privileged I am.
