For some months of the year, in the Spring before dawn and in the Autumn after dusk, the core of the Milky Way can be seen from the ancient Standing stones of Callanish. It is always awe inspiring on a clear night to stand up at the stones and appreciate the wonder of our Galaxy with so many stars. A humbling and grounding sight.
