One of the most amazing things about living in the Outer Hebrides is how much there is to observe and learn. Sundogs are quite a common occurrence and not just here, but I'd never heard of them before I moved here and certainly didn't know how they were formed. 'A sundog is a concentrated patch of sunlight occasionally seen about 22° to the left or right of the Sun.
