Sunsets and sunrises in the outer Hebrides linger. They last longer than anywhere else I have ever lived, indeed in summer when the twilight never ends the light from the sunset some nights never truly disappears and it is indiscernible when it changes from distant sunset glow to distant sunrise glow. The beaches are always wonderful places to relax a while and watch the sun setting and appreciate the passing of time in light and changing colours in the water and sky.
