About the Artwork

There is this beach a bit north from Callanish that is fairly flat. When the tide is out and there is aurora you can walk across the beach and you're walking on damp sand and star reflections. If you look out to see you can see the glow of aurora (though with bare eyes it is less colourful than a 20 sec exposure from a modern camera). The morning I discovered this I was dancing (clothed thankfully) on the beach, all on my own at about 2 am.
